colemak layout issues

I have set colemak as a alternative layout to default us layout, but when i switch the layout using the switcher in colemak the caps lock key should turn into backspace but it work both as backspace and capslock at the sametime.

I had the same problem. You need to go to the advanced tab (on keyboard layout section) and under caps lock behaviour, select "make Caps Lock an additional backspace".
