stuck on Activation stage: Configuring device.

    Hey guys,

On a fresh Alpha 6 install, my wireless does not work out of the box. When i connect, it just says "Activation stage: Configuring device." And then it will fail to connect. Also when I look up network settings, it says "The shared Library was not Found. Library not found." I am trying to connect through KNetworkManager. Any ideas? Thanks!

EDIT: I read somewhere that this was because DHCP was not automatically turned on, however I can't turn it on because my settings are broken, is there another way to do this at least?

i have a dell 1501 laptop with the same problem. mine worked fine before the version upgrade. itried re-installing everything that I could think of related to it. The only thing that I've noticed is that the B43 driver isn't showing up in symantic, just b43 fwcutter. the driver manager won't release the b43 driver when I un-check the box. once I unhook the network cable & plug it back in, the wired network doesn't work until re-boot. to me this sounds like a network manager issue maybe.

I have the same problem on my thinkpad T43. Had to scroll back to an earlier alpha release and kept back knetworkmanager and networkmanager. The problem persists in beta release.

I installed Wicd through synaptic & got the wireless working. you have to google it & add the repository. reboot after installing to make it work. It handles the network instead of knetworkmanager.
