Firefox for super user only

I have mentioned this elsewhere, but have isolated what might be the problem:

Firefox will no t start from menu.

And not from command line. No error message, nothing.

However,


sudo firefox

does work.


kdesu firefox

will run, after I give password.

Security is nice, but this is over the top, right? How can I fix this?
