    #ISupportJonathan

Benjamin Kerensa (blog, LaunchPad), a new member of the Kubuntu Team, is starting a Twitter campaign in support of Jonathan Riddell. We, the administrators of KFN, fully support Jonathan and find the actions of the Ubuntu Community Council to be less than professional.

A clarification: Benjamin was voted in as a Kubuntu team member, not to the Kubuntu Council.

Yep, that's right. The KC is the governing body, elected by and from members of the larger Kubuntu Team. For more details, see the Kubuntu Council Constitution.

So, was Jonathan not on the KC before all of this?

Before the brouhaha, there were six, including Jonathan.

Looks like he got evicted by the Ubuntu Community Council. He is, however, still a part of Kubuntu Members. https://launchpad.net/~jr/+participation

So, why is Scott still on the list? He announced he was resigning and moving his development skills to Debian.

EDIT: For someone who said he quit development on Kubuntu he's continued to post revisions:

It takes time to transition projects to other maintainers.
