    [LAPTOP] Secure Boot and Wifi

    Hello,

In have an HP Laptop that has a Realtek RTL8821CE network adapter. Upon installing Kubuntu I found that Wifi did not work. So I searched the problem and found the driver to install manually, so now my Wifi works. Problem is if I enable secure boot then the driver won't work.

I would just leave secure boot off but I get this annoying message every time I turn the laptop on that says its booting in insecure mode and it stays there a moment before the laptop will continue to boot.

Does anyone know a way around this issue?

    Here are my specs

    Operating System: Kubuntu 19.10
    KDE Plasma Version: 5.16.5
    KDE Frameworks Version: 5.62.0
    Qt Version: 5.12.4
    Kernel Version: 5.3.0-46-generic
    OS Type: 64-bit
Processors: 4 × AMD Ryzen 3 3200U with Radeon Vega Mobile Gfx
    Memory: 7.4 GiB of RAM

    Thanks!

You would probably need to look at your laptops bios settings and/or documentation to see if there is an option to disable this message.

    What model is it?
