Just to remind users and devs that Ubuntu and its flavors have a long way to go to be as usr friendly as they should be.

Well, Amazon gets its info from other sources, they do not perform extensive compatibility checks on every product that shows on their site.

To determine compatibility, use HP's hplip resources as thy have extensive tables on what minimum version of the hplip software supports each printer and if there are limitations. When I check for something in Linux, I start with a a Google search
    linux blah blah blah
which usually brings up good places to start research.

So I did that for Officejet 5260, and came to a couple of references that show it is not supported in Linux. This page also does not list that model - close, but not close enough.

My Officejet 5255 works great on 20.04 and 19.10 before that. Should show up in the Office Jet 5200 family. The printer is identified as HP_OfficeJet_5200_series_CCA779_ in the printer settings. Also, the Officejet 5255 isn't on that list either.
