    CMAKE 3.12.4 from 18.10 DEB.....

I am hoping that maybe some one around here still has an old 18.10 system they can possibly pull a DEB from there for

    CMAKE 3.12.4 AMD64

I am aware of newer versions of CMAKE.. there is a reason that can't be used... its a long and winding road on resolving it, and the easiest solution is to use the last known working version of it...

YES I am aware Cmake TGZ for older versions... I'd like to get the DEB if possible... please.. before pursing that path...

I tried to dig around various links but Canocial has removed them and it appears that the only way to get it now is apt-get to pull the DEB from old...ubunutu.com etc..

So if some one has an 18.10 system and can grab CMAKE 3.12.4 DEB AMD64 from the repo's there that would be great.. I can provide a place to upload it on my servers...

I'd prefer not to go back to the 18.04 one which I know works too.. but maybe be plan C or D ...

    Thanks!

The 18.10 deb will likely have dependencies specific to that version , so it may not work as expected, let alone install properly.

But, though it is EOL, the 18.10 packaging is still on the main servers, so it can be found easily: here:
    http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/pool/

otherwise, older EOL stuff would be found here
    http://old-releases.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/pool/

But it could very well be easier to resolve the actual issue than forcing, hacking, and manually adapting an old cmake to work on a more modern setup. Especially if the tools it uses may also need to be downgraded.
    Your choice though.
It still might be worth describing the problem
    Again, your choice.
