Chrome slow to launch

A week ago chrome worked flawlessly, now suddenly it takes 30+ seconds to launch after clicking the icon.
Once its open it works fine, if i close and re-open, the same 30 second wait. Please help.

Open a terminal and run google-chrome-stable. Look at the terminal output for clues. If you like, post the output here. Maybe someone spots something.
