Using Kubuntu Linux since March 23, 2007

Anyone with a minimal install can check it out without actually upgrading to 18.10. The [details] option with sudo do-release-upgrade is useful. And then one can always back away. I turned on script in the terminal to catch everything. Except for some odd escape (?) characters, script did a good job.

Yes, yes, no (not yet - medical reasons will prevent me from getting a visa right now)

I just checked upgrading the minimal install option of Ubuntu to 18.10. That, like Ubuntu Mate, did not pull in packages not meant to be installed in a minimal install option.

I filed https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+s...r/+bug/1803866 but maybe the package needs to be corrected.
