      Very bad performance in Kubuntu 18.04 with Nvidia 1050 mobile

      IF you were using Btrfs the solution would be easy: rollback to your first backup after installing and then locking the NVidia driver & associated apps and/ or downgrade to previous kernel, if the first update installed a newer kernel.

      Another option you can try is to PURGE the current Nvidia-396 and install NVidia-390
