    Screwed up my scanner.....HELP

    I have a HP_LaserJet_Professional_M1212nf_MFP.
It prints fine from my house network.
    It used to scan too.
I was looking for a scan program that would let me tweak the scan and I installed Simple Scan. I didn't care for it so I uninstalled it. That's when the trouble started.

I looked all over the net and found an instruction to run sudo hp-check -r and the result looked like this.
    (shortened version)

I have uninstalled everything a couple times and reinstalled everything a couple time but I still get the same results.
It still prints fine but no scanner action.
    Can someone help?

Those missing -dev packages are needed solely to compile hplip, and have nothing to do with scanning

what were you using to scan before you installed simple scan?
Where did you find the instructions to run the command, and what are those instructions attempting to accomplish?

I found the command on THIS page

I was using the same printer scanner with it's own software
