My touchpad mouse randomly freezes after a few seconds of doing nothing (idleness).

After a few seconds of trying, it the moves normally.

    Can anyone help...

    Thanks!

This is a fresh Kubuntu 17.10 install on:
    Lenovo Ideapad 100-151BY Laptop
    4GB Ram
    12GB Swap

It’s not exactly your problem but I suspect your solution is there

      Hello, thank you for replying.

I gave it a try without success. However, I may have not got it right, as it is a bit beyond my technical ability.

      Thanks anyway!

        Let us help!
What is the output of your "xinput --list-props 'name of your device here'" give?
If you don't know the actual name of your device perhaps lspci or lshw will give it.
