    ufw

    Hello,

    I have just noticed that the firewall (ufw) is inactive.

    Should I activate it, or will this lead to many complications?

    Are you connected to a router? If so, you probably do not need the redundancy and potential conflicts of running a software firewall behind the hardware one.

        Then you do not need to enable it, as the router handles all that for you.

          Thank you.

          I don't own the router so I don't know how its configured. The person who does own it is not computer literate. Hope the defaults are in place

            They probably are. Most home wifi routers are designed with this in mind.
