kernel 3.13. support for Kubuntu 14.04

Recently there is a problem with Meltdown and Spectre. I read that updates that address this problem will be in kernel 4.15. Are older Kubuntu versions with older kernels going to get these updates?

I receive updates on my 14.04 regularly, like every month, now I have 3.13.0-141-generic, but I don't know what is in these updates. Are security patches included, something else?

I found articles that says that kernel 3.13 will be extended until April 2016.

What after that date? It is LTS with support until 2019. So, one year without kernel support?

    I also found this graph

Looks like 3.13 will be supported until end of life of 14.04, so is the above articles wrong?

The 3.13 series is one of the kernel series being updated for Melt/Spec. I believe 3.13., 4.4, and 4.13 are all being updated and the others (4.8, 4.10) are not.
