    Network Manager

    Hello,

I have noticed that I have four network connections that look identical. One logs me straight into the internet, the other three require a password.

    Can anyone explain this phenomenon?

    Thanks

A screenshot/picture of what you are looking at when you see this, would be very helpful.

At some point they were created (almost certainly by you), but have never been used. Just delete them.

I did not deliberately create them.

Why do the bottom three ask for a password, when the first does not?

Because those three were never configured with, and told to save, the password.

Network connections don’t magically create themselves. Whether you remember doing so, attempts were made ‘at some prior point in time’ to create a network connection.
