I installed my printer -HPEnvy 5530- via WPS and cups, since I don't have a USB cable for hplip. It was working fine for weeks. I used it a couple of days ago. Today I goto print and it"s missing! Did the recent update cause it to be forgotten?

check your wps settings if any error persist try to configure your printer from the scratch. -

I had to reinstall it. Weird. It was totally gone. I had to press the WPS button on my gateway and reconnect. Some time ago, I suddenly could not print anymore.
The solution was to give it a fixed IP address instead of the printer having to ask an IP@ to the router each time it starts.Je suis Charlie, how many more people have to die for religions

I set my router to dispense IP addresses from *.100 to *.110 and I give my printer a static IP of *.99. I also use my MAC address to give my laptop a fixed IP
