            Today shift key works! Yesterday I renamed, in home/.config, "kxkbrc" "kxkbrc.orig". I don't know...

              Here is what was in mine:
              $ cat ~/.config/kxkbrc
              [Layout]
              DisplayNames=
              LayoutList=
              LayoutLoopCount=-1
              Model=acer_laptop
              Options=compose:lwin
              ResetOldOptions=true
              ShowFlag=false
              ShowLabel=true
              ShowLayoutIndicator=true
              ShowSingle=false
              SwitchMode=Global
              Use=false
              What was in yours?

                Many reset, and turn off and on again the pc, all OK. But the problem not seems be "kxkbrc": in effect, copied in other user home/.config all is equally OK.

                  Very similar:
                  Code:
                  [Layout]
                  DisplayNames=
                  LayoutList=
                  LayoutLoopCount=-1
                  Model=pc101
                  ResetOldOptions=false
                  ShowFlag=false
                  ShowLabel=true
                  ShowLayoutIndicator=true
                  ShowSingle=false
                  SwitchMode=Global
                  Use=false

                      Your experience points out the need to make bkup copies of -/.kde and -/.config
