DVD player no longer recognizes one of my USB HDs.

I wasn't sure where to post this as it's not really a Kubuntu issue (or is it?). I have a handful of WD My Passport external HDs that I use for storing movies and tv shows. I load them from my laptop and connect them to my Sony DVD player to watch said shows on my TV. I started using these drives under Windows, they are formatted in NTFS and they continued to work just fine after I switched to Linux. Now one of my drives is no longer recognized by my DVD player. It sees it but gives the message: "The USB device connected to this drive is not supported." It still works just fine connected to my laptop. The only thing I can see is that there 1MB of unallocated space on the drive which I can't edit or delete. All the drives are NTFS and still function normally when connected to the DVD player.

    Any ideas?
