    [DESKTOP] Distrowatch and kubuntu

I have been reading the Distrowatch pages and notice that kubuntu does not do well in the ratings. I wonder why it appears to do less well than many other disros?
    kubuntu version: 16.04.5 LTS

    Laptop: Toshiba-Satellite-L350

Because the Page Hit Rankings don't mean much and can be easily manipulated by zealots, as is often the case. A better metric is the OS of the visitors to that site. In them you can see that only 2% of the 49% of Linux users actually use an Ubuntu bsed OS.

    Linux 14,448,963 49.1 %
    Zenwalk GNU Linux 52 0 %
    Vine Linux 109 0 %
    Ubuntu 615,930 2 %
    Suse 823 0 %
    Red Hat 345 0 %
    PCLinuxOS 20 0 %
    Mandriva (or Mandrake) 62 0 %
    Gentoo 139 0 %
    Fedora 771 0 %
    Debian 3,305 0 %
    Centos 2 0 %
    ASPLinux 126 0 %
    Google Android 1,326,356 4.5 %
GNU Linux (Unknown or unspecified distribution) 12,500,923 42.5 %
Most Linux users are using an "unknown" distro. Probably Kubuntu
