Kub. 14.04 here, vaguely thinking about installing 16.04 in the second partition.
I'd rather be locked out than locked in.

That's cool! I enjoyed testing out online servers and playing on them. I set up a server in Realm for me, my two grandsons and their friends, and ran it for about 6 months, until they discovered girls!

I fully expected MS to mess up Minecraft but to my surprise they have done an admirable job updating it and adding new features. I am currently using 1.10.2 with Forge and 20 mods on my own server, which is more convenient and faster than using an online one, even when it is running on this laptop at the same time as the launcher is. Since my secondary GPU (GT650M) is treated as my primary GPU by nvidia-370 I enjoy fps between 90-225. Sweet! As along as MS releases the java versions of the server and launcher I'll keep playing it. It doesn't run well under WINE.
