    Kubuntu Users: Get Counted!

    Ubuntu Counter Website

The Ubuntu Counter Project is like a miniature version of The Linux Counter. It aims to catalogue the number of registered machines using the numerous varients of the Ubuntu Linux distribution.

Why? Because, quite simply, Ubuntu rocks.

To register your Ubuntu machines, simply register yourself as a user, and add your machines to your account.

Once registered, you will have a user button (like the ones below) to place on your website, in forum signatures or wherever you want!

OK, how do I "add my machines to my account"?

I've looked through all of my personal profile settings pages, and see nothing even remotely suggestive of "add my machines".

    Thanks in advance...

Thanks, and this is more or less what I expected it would be. However... I still don't see it.

I'm logged in, so step (1) has succeeded. I don't see a "My Account" anywhere (I've even searched for 'account' and only find that string within item postings using the word.)

Underneath my "Personal Menu" box in the left-side menu stack I see the following clickable items: "Personal CP" (which takes me to my profile editing page, I assume, though what 'CP' mnemonically suggests escapes me for the moment), "PM (0/0)" (personal messaging) and "Log Out".

The "Personal CP" link takes me to an access point for a few pages of personal profile-related stuff, none of which has "Add Machine" or anything remotely like it.

Massive apologies if I'm being perceptually or cognitively dense here, but... seriously, I'm not seeing it. Browser is Firefox 1.5.0.5 under (naturally) Kubuntu 6.0.6 on i686 at work and right now on AMD64.

You need to go the [url=http://ubuntucounter.geekosophical.net/]Ubuntu Counter Website[url], linked to in the first post, and create an account there.

That said, I want a Kubuntu graphic, hope they make some for the different Ubuntu siblings

I have this in my signature but it does not work.

              <a href="http://ubuntucounter.geekosophical.net" title="The Ubuntu Counter Project - user number # 9394"><img src="http://ubuntucounter.geekosophical.n...php?user=9394" alt="The Ubuntu Counter Project - user number # 9394" /></a>

Just displays it on the pages in the kubuntu forums.

you can see that it says now ubuntu 9394. thanks

But it should say kubuntu 9394. I already changed the word
                      http://ubuntucounter.geekosophical.n....php?user=9394

                      but shows up as ubuntu

I have registered, but as noted above you just get "ubuntu user" , so I checked every image. Why bother telling you that you can change to your variant if every image is the same
