Sound issue in HP Probook 430 G3 [driver?]

    Hi everyone!
For some reason I can't solve an issue with sound in Kubuntu 15.10. My laptop (HP Probook 430 G3) is new, so I tried installing Windows to check if sound would work there. It didn't until I installed a driver from official HP web site. So I guess the problem in Linux is that the driver I need is proprietary and not installed. I went to Settings - Driver Manager, but the only option there is "Using Processor microcode firmware for Intel CPUs from intel-microcode". I checked it and rebooted but that didn't help.
    Will appreciate your help!

I will guess the issue your having with sound is ,,,,their is none ?

what have you tried to get it working ?

    post the output of

    Code:
    lspci -v
    and
    Code:

when you go to paste the output back into this forum ,,,,,,,click the # button above the text field and paste it in between the CODE][/CODE tags that will appear

Do you still have the Live CD/DVD/USB you can boot from? If 'yes', does sound work there?

Vinny, thanks a lot! Sound does work now.
I've added these lines to /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base.conf
            options snd-hda-intel single_cmd=1
            options snd-hda-intel probe_mask=1
            options snd-hda-intel model=basic
            Everything works now.
Thanks again! I've been trying to solve this for over a month!

do you have HDMI out on that box ?

have you checked to see if it works (the sound through it) if so

Previously, when sound didn't work, HDMI out was the only option in that box. Now there is built-in audio analog stereo and no HDMI. But that's fine for me because I am not planning to use it and even can't check if it works because I don't have a cable.
