Boot problem, have to go single-user

15.10 amd64, may be worth waiting for 16.04??

    Normal boot until Plymouth, then:
Starting terminate Plymouth Boot Screen ...AD DC ...)... kernel crash signatures ...

Power off, restart, boot into Single-User mode, at prompt do the Ctrl-D ... Usable system (sort-of).

Dimly recall colord in the mix.

    Hopefully ...

    Later:
Investigated sddm, that suggested deleting ~/.Xauthority. Did that, still no go. Update of kernel to .35 did nothing either. Looking more like a config issue or a missing/corrupt rc somewhere, and that's beyond my skillset. Any help appreciated.
