Hang/Crash with Intel graphics and HDMI

    Hi guys,

I'm about to give up and move to another distro...Maybe you can help me give a last chance to Plasma 5? It seems I'm having a weird issue whenever using HDMI output on my Dell 7347 laptop. If I shutdown the laptop while using an HDMI connection, next time it boots...it won't boot. It goes to a blank screen after I input the user/password at the login screen. Seems that I need to keep rebooting/plugging/unplugging the cable, and it eventually will let me start. But now it seems it's completely refusing me access. Other user accounts don't seem to get affected by this bug if I didn't mess with the HDMI on their account.

    Any ideas?

    Thank you!

The fact this problem happens only on one and not other accounts points to a configuration problem.
So you might want to investigate the option to remove your original account and move in to a new one.

I had similar problems with nVidia but they improved dramatically after a fresh install.
It's not 100% good but workable.
