    Asunder hangs

Asunder hangs; if I Ctrl-Alt-Esc it disappears but still lives in the system table.

If I reboot; it works once or twice - then hangs again.

I put a spare cd drive in put no change.

    Thank you for your time

try running it from a konsole window and see errors you get when it hangs again.

ok - from the command line -
asunder ran correctly for 1 cd
the second cd hung 12% into the disc.
System load is at 100% for all 4 cores
the process table before the kill signal
      baaloo_file 25%
      Xorg 3%
      asunder 1%
      kwin_x11 1%
      ksysguard 1%
      skype 1%
      amarok 1%
upon "kill sig" asunder disappeared including from the proc table
however system load remained at 100% for all 4 cores
this could explain why shutting down takes so long (5 minutes)
process table shows asunder is gone
on the other hand System load is still at 100% for all 4 cores
no change in %ages in pt
      no comments on command line
      thanks

I do not know. Asunder is just a graphical front-end to various command line utilities, so it is likely that these behind-the-scenes tools are still running. Your cpu may be running at 100% but it could also be because you are using your swap, which is slowing everything down as you may be low on ram. Does the same thing happen when using other rippers?
