Sound plus flash plus Plasma theme questions

    Hello.

After successfully negotiating the Live USB login bullet, I hereby present a few more doubts.

    1. Sound : There is absolutely no sound from my system whatsoever. Only Stereo Analog - HDMI output is selected by default. Others are greyed out. I don't even know what that means. Also I cannot see the volume mixer button on my system. I have my system dual booted with Lubuntu 15.10 and the sound on Lubuntu works fine.

    2. Flash : When I tried to run the spotify web player. I got a message saying that I need to install Flash. I tried to install the default flash player but it still doesn't work.

    3. Plasma Theme : So since I have Kubuntu already installed, I decided to 'beautify' my desktop by installing a new theme. Since I like dark transparent themes. I decided to install 'Slim glow' theme from the system settings ---> Themes -------> Get themes option. It shows it as installed, and when I click 'Apply' only the taskbar changes. The wallpaper and windows are still the same.

So friends, any help on these?

You have installed a plasma desktop theme. The 'Desktop Theme' will set the visual appearance of the (plasma) desktop. The plasma theme could have a wallpaper but this is only an option.

The 'Look and Feel' will set the overall look and feel of the workspace. The 'Look and Feel' doesn't have a 'Install from file / Get New' option yet.

And how do you do that? I have only the default 'Breeze' in look and feel although I have a few desktop themes installed. How to go about putting a new look and feel so that the wallpapers that came with the themes get installed?

The 'Look and Feel' is a bit more than a plasma desktop theme.

Choose your Look and Feel experience: http://notmart.org/blog/2014/08/choo...el-experience/
