Is There a Way to Pull Data From LibreOffice Calc into LibreOffice Impress?

I have a LO Impress presentation that uses several numbers. I have to calculate the numbers in LO Calc then manually copy the needed numbers from Calc into Impress slide by slide. Is there a way I can do this automatically?

With both files (Impress and Calc) in the same directory, I would like to update my Calc file, then, when I open the Impress presentation, it automatically goes to the Calc file and pulls the needed numbers from a one page spreadsheet and populates it automatically. I've posted this on the LibreOffice forum and after 2 days, I only have 44 views and no replies.

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

From a brief look at libreoffice documentation, it doesn't look to be possible, though the page I saw was last edited in 2013

    But OpenOffice might:

Dunno if this applies to their presentation software, though.
