    From KDE4 to KDE5.4

    Hi,

for started, I wish to apologize for my level in english language...

I use Kubuntu since many years... I have know the upgrade from kde3 to kde4 with its so many problems...
So I waited before to use KDE 5

But now, I am ready (I hope...) to upgrade from KDE4 to KDE5.4 !
I have make a fresh install of Kubuntu 15.10.

After many tests and searches, I have some problems...

I hope that you will can help me

    KWALLET
I understood that the folder of the kwl files has changed : ~/.local/share/kwalletd
I copy my kwl file in this folder, KWalletManager5 sees it and ask me my password...
I write it.... and it say me, it's not the good password...
I tested to write it in clear and copy past it... same thing...
I tried to create a kwl without password in KDE4... same thing...
The creation of a new wallet works...
The links for imports xml file or kwl doesn't works...

That's my really big problem, all my logins and passes use kwallet...

    AMBIGUOUS SHORTCUTS
When I want to use CTRL+C or CTRL+X or CTRL+V in some softwares like Dolphin (not all softwares), I have this approximate message : your shortcut is ambiguous... Look the configs....
So I look the configs... but no one error... they shortcuts are use only for copy, cut and paste...
Same thing in the global configurations...
I tried to reset the configs but no change...

    It's really troublesome...

I have few others problems but if someone can help me with the 2 big problems above, I should be able to use Kubuntu 15.10 ...

So thank you for have read all my message and again sorry for my english !

Did you try renaming/moving .config/kglobalshortcutsrc and .config/khotkeysrc, then logging out?

I'm also confused about kwallet. I remember at some point seeing a KWallet migration dialog, and clicking to do it, but there are still kwallet4 bits lying around, and the file modification dates keep changing.

I'm guessing that I have at least one KDE program installed that hasn't been ported to KF5 and still needs to talk to KWallet4.

    Edited to add:

    Code:
ronw@wilyvb:~$ sudo find . -name *kwallet*
    [sudo] password for ronw:
    ./.local/share/kwalletd
    ./.kde/share/apps/kwallet
    ./.kde/share/config/kwalletrc
    ./.config/kwalletrc
    ./.config/kwalletmanager5rc

    ronw@wilyvb:~$ cat .config/kwalletrc
    [Migration]
    alreadyMigrated=true

Yes I tried to remove these files but no change...

I tried to change the .config/kwalletrc and rmove it but no change again...

I tried to migrate my 14.10 to 15.04 but that failed.

I will retry to install 15.10...

      EDIT : I did it !!!
      If I lanchu kwalletd5 in KDE5 :
      kwalletd5 started
      Migration agent starting...
Old wallet is empty. No need to migrate.
      Migration agent stop.
but if I install libkf5wallet5 and launch kwalletd5 in KDE4, I have the window upgrade !!
      And that works !

So now, I need to understand the shortcuts problems

The method I used to migrate my wallets was to export the data under the old version (to XML, I think) then import it in the new. I hope it's not too late for you to do that. Maybe you could boot a Live iso with the old version to do the export.

          Hi, it's never too late

          But I said :
The links for imports xml file or kwl doesn't works...
I tried this way, but no result.
