Thanks for replying! It still appears on bootup (using kubuntu 14.10 + Nvidia), but everything is working fine-for now!

I get the same error using 14.10 and nvidia 346. Everything works fine, so I've been ignoring it. Should I be concerned?

Played with using gdm instead of lightdm. Error went away, returned when I went back to lightdm, so I think it is lightdm problem, or something gone wrong during upgrade from 14.04 Installing 14.10 fresh using netboot cd. Takes a little longer to download all the packages, but should be ok
