Interesting taskbar problem in full screen games

    Hi,

I have come across a little bug in Kubuntu.

I play an older game in wine that utilizes the 640x480 resolution in full screen during the menus and use nglide (a 3dfx wrapper) to force a 1280x1024 resolution in game, which is normally my desktop resolution when not playing games. Now this obviously causes the screen to change resolution at least 4 times if i play the game just once.
1..When i first run the game it goes to 640x480
2..When nglide is utilized to play the game (1280x1024)
3..Back to 640x480 for the menu
4..Back to 1280x1024 when i quit back to desktop

Now my problem is the taskbar is set currently as per figure 1. Note the icons to the right of the clock (Shutdown) and the blue icons to the left of the taskbar (Kubuntu menu etc..)

Now after playing the game look at figure 2, the icons to the right are bigger and the icons to the left are smaller, my taskbar has shrunk slightly! Each time I have to resize the taskbar even if the widgets are locked in panel (As per figure 2)

Can anyone tell me the problem, is there a fix? It only happens when i play an older game that utilizes the 640x480 resolution, which is quite a few from that era

    Thanks
