You can also change the default mouse behavior. There are a couple different ways, and they have slightly different results. Neither is exactly like focus-follows-mouse in X11, but one of these might work for you. See http://douglaswhitaker.com/focus-fol...se-in-windows/ for more information.
I might try it for a while and see if I can get used to it. It'll drive anyone using my machine at work mad, though! Hehe

Dude, don't share PCs. You can catch all kinds of weird bugs that way.

Well... bugs aren't my problem lol. If they let us have admin privileges at work, then I'd care/be careful, but I only have a user account so pffft.

When I say people using my machine, I mean the kind of situation where someone comes over to your desk and wants to show you something... sometimes it's easier to say "you drive" than follow directions and get fingerprints all over the screen.

Did you spring a leak there or something?

          What version of Windows?

Ah, too bad. If you had XP, you could do this...

              1. Open a command prompt and enter time to find the system's current time. Let's say the time is 14:30.

              2. Run at 14:31 /interactive cmd.exe. Wait one minute. Then up pops a new command window, this time running as LocalSystem, which has even more power than Administrator.

This "feature" was fixed in Vista.

                That's a scary security flaw!

I had XP when I arrived, they were phasing it out. At least windows 7 has a search bar that opens when you click start, and you can snap windows to half width by pushing them into the edges is the screen. While I was waiting for the upgrade both of these were incredibly frustrating!

I am into a zen desktop. I like nothing but my wallpaper and clock. On my taskbar panel I have Chrome Browser, Games, Files, Terminal and Sound in my tray area.

Games opens a Dolphin window to show folders with categories.

I like single click mode, I don't care for having to double click all the time. You get use to single click on web browsers so why not your programs.

We should develop a Feng Shui desktop!

                      "We" have a confused desktop.

Linux because it works. No social or political motives in my decision to use it.

Hold on let me get my compass... crud, now I have to paint my monitor screen black so I can have privacy!

Next I need to place the PC in a wooden case to evoke the qualities of wood and water... PSU sizzles....

I have obviously offended the spirits of my ancestors.
