    Help with instaling Glabels

Today I downloaded the tar.gz file of Glabels, I have a need for constant labels. It is for the Gnowe desktop but rightly or wrongly (wrongly it seems) I presumed that Ark would let me know what I need and ask my permission to download. Well it didn't and now I am stuck. Nothing unusual in that...
Any help at all would be really appreciated. Thank you, Elder73 (Bill)

Why not just get it through the repos and muon?
Linux because it works. No social or political motives in my decision to use it.

Thank you for your reply. That is what I did at first. Frankly I have not have the best of luck with Muon. Sometimes it worked and sometimes it didn't and in this case it didn't. I clicked to install and nothing happened. It just told me that it was "waiting" and for what I don't know, but I just gave up on waiting after a while. This happened once before and I ended up downloading the tar.gz and installing that programme from that package.

        I would suggest using konsole

        Code:
        sudo apt-get update
        sudo apt-get install glabels

Thank you for the information, I did not think of Synaptic at all.
