    Removing xubuntu-desktop after installing kubuntu-desktop

    Hi,

I have a desktop PC that has been for a few years on xubuntu. I have decided, however to move all my systems to xubuntu.
I installed most of the systems through a CD (reinstallation) but this one has lots of important files, backups, etc (several TB). I therefore decided to install kubuntu-desktop from aptitude. How can I now remove xubuntu-desktop, its dependencies (but obviously not those that are also dependencies of kubuntu-desktop)?

As Xubuntu uses XFCE as its desktop simply remove all packages relating to XFCE. Any dependencies for XFCE will not affect KDE. Try the following command
    Code:
    sudo apt-get remove xubuntu-desktop
If that doesn't work then using Muon search and select all XFCE packages installed and mark them for removal.
