Laptop power setting issue - laptop won't sleep on critical bettery

    Hi,

Using 13.04 on an Acer Aspire One 753 laptop, I have set the low battery and critical battery levels. I have then set the laptop to sleep on critical battery level. (See attached screenshot.)

However, my laptop just runs until the battery dies!

    Any ideas..?

Similar issue here. When I put laptop to sleep when under 7%, it will keep waking up 30 seconds after I put it to sleep. What could be everything north of hour or two of sleep ends up being wasted in under 10 minutes.

You say "sleep" but your thumbnail attachments shows a setting "Shutdown"

I don't use sleep because on MY hardware, running 12.04, when this laptop wakes up out of the sleep mode it fails to turn on the wireless. (Or, at least it failed when the ath9k driver actually able to connect to my wireless router.) I have my low power settings on "shutdown", which it does nicely.

Doesn't sleep or shutdown - just lets itself run out of power.

I've moved from kdm to gdm, and unsurprisingly I guess, the problem persists.
