Changed default browser from Chromium to Rekonq but not working..

I changed my default browser from Chromium to Rekonq in System Settings -> Default Applications. However, the RSS reader Bamboo for Thunderbird Mail keeps launching Chromium. Chromium says it's the default browser but I don't see any option in Chromium settings to change this. Will I need to uninstall-reinstall chromium or is there a better way to solve my problem. Thanks in advance.

Have you changed the default browser for tbird? I don't know if if follows the system browser settings or not (it used to NOT be so) and bamboo may be using tbird's default browser.
