    [SOLVED] Youtube and HTML5

Is it me, or VP8 on Youtube on Chromium has a lot of static. Why the same thing is not happening to Firefox? Sadly, I am having a love a fair with Chromium, and would like to keep on using it. Any thoughts?

VP8 seemed a little premature, they should have waited until they got some hardware decoders for it

But my questions is, why is it working perfectly fine on Firefox and not working well on Chromium. Why, Why that is. :-P

Do you have a URL to a video using VP8?

Where here is something better than a link. I am posting a screen shot.

No, a screen shot isn't better than a URL link. I want to see if I experience the same thing you are.

Then again it works well on #Firefox.

It displays just fine for me, also using Chromium on my 12.04 64-bit install. No 'static' as in your screen capture.

Then the question is, why is it not playing well on my chromium? I was thinking about reinstalling Chromium then. Any thoughts? how about packages, should I reinstall a package that I am not aware off? Let me know.

First, what version of Kubuntu are you running, and what version of KDE?

An upgrade to KDE 4.9.2 might fix your issue. Using it here and have no problems with it at all.
