    Some agencies also requested

    "cell tower dumps"

to collect the phone numbers of

    all mobile subscribers

who connected to a certain cell tower during a particular time.
Law enforcement sought data ..............1.3 MILLION ................. that is MILLION times in 2011

Yep.....it is perfectly ok under Obama but Bush.....no he was EVIL!!! ptttaaaggghhh

does the word HYPOCRISY come to mind?

Now you have the answer to the other thread on what people use their cell phones for -- to let the government track them.

The requests at Verizon are rising at 15% per year. There is a mathematical formula for computing doubling times.

Doubling time = 70 / annual percentage growth.

      70/15 = 4.66 years.

So, about every five years the government is doubling its requests to access tax payer info. Does that mean crime, subversion or terrorism is growing at 15% per year, or doubling every 5 years? Obviously not. If not, then what it does mean is that the government is becoming more abusive of its power.

The only end to this trend is the tyranny of a police state.

The only sane solution to stop the problem is to vote out every incumbent and vote in representatives that will reign in the power grab by Federal Agencies and reverse the corporatism of the SCOTUS, the Presidency, the Congress and the Senate. Will this ever happen? When Hell freezes over. That's because so many citizens, industries and economies are on government subsidies and welfare they won't vote out politicians who promise to keep the gravy train coming. The bridge is out ahead and people are warning us of that, but the brake peddle is broken and the "economic growth" accelerator is being pressed to the floor because "everyone" agrees that we can spend our way out of debt.
