Help ! After an unenventful upgrade I'm unable to install anything or upgrade any packages. Am using KPackageKit and though I can download the packeges, halfway through the installation I walways get this error.

Flash no longer worked after moving to 11.04 so I tried to update and got this error the first time, but now I find it happens for everything.

Did you md5 checksum the iso after you downloaded it, and the LiveCD after you burned it using DAO at 10x or less?

Open a Konsole and issue
sudo apt-get -f install
sudo dpkg --configure -a

several times until they come back with no error msg. If they fail to resolve the issue check the output of the processes to see which package they failed on. Note its name, then issue
sudo apt-get build-dep packagename

and after it is done redo the first two commands. Rinse and repeat until all comes clean.

Thanks for the help. nspluginwrapper is the problem but it's failing when I try to install it again.

Did it several times last time but went back and did it 10 times in a row now and get the same results.

Installing Flash in 64 bit seems to be a mess. I can get Flash working now as I said before, downloading the beta from Adobe but I'm seeing the error about Flash needing the nspluginwrapper which is failing.

is a show stopper, especially if you already have tried build-dep and it was blocked as well.

Have you tried uninstalling FoxPro and all of its dependencies, plugins, etc...., then clear the apt-get cache, reboot and run "apt-get autoremove", followed by those two commands I recommended earlier. Then install some trival program to see if it can be installed without being interrupted. If it can, then install FireFox and flash using the method that works. Otherwise, I'd do a fresh install. 15 minutes for the fresh install, an hour or two to install the apps you use and to configure your desktop the way you want. That would be a lot easier and take less time that spending hours for several days trying to rescue a sinking boat.
