    NV Video Drivers

    Hello,

    I'm using Kubuntu 5.10 with KDE 3.5 Beta, and was wondering if anyone could give me a link to a guide or some advice pertaining to getting NVidia card drivers to work.

    My system specs are:

    P-II 400
    384MB Ram
    NVidia Riva TNT2 Pro (Considered legacy by Nvidia now)

    I tried following the instructions in the Ubuntu Wiki, but I had no success. Any possible advice with this would be greatly appreciated.

    personally, I use an ATI card but have you tried what's written here?

      the easiest way to install the drivers is thru synaptic . Just search "Nvidia" and instal the folllowing packages

      xserver-xorg-driver-nv
      nvidia-kernel-common
      NVIDIA binary XFree86 4.x/X.Org driver
      linux-restricted-modules-2.6.12-9-386 (this would vary slightly for some peoples architecture)

      and optional but useful

      nvidia-settings,

        Once you have the above installed, what then?

        I tried to issue "sudo nvidia-glx-config enable" , but it tells me the command is not found!
