Can't detect touchpad on apple ibook G4

i've recently installed kubuntu 5.04 on my ibook G4, dual boots with Mac OS X.
Everything went extremely well, but when the installation completed and i logged into the desktop, the mouse arrow was at the middle and it didn't move at all.
Whereas, the touchpad still worked well when i returned to Mac OS X.

How to solve the problem?? Please help!!!

Can you try it using external USB mouse? If it works, maybe some Linux guru here can give you tips on proper configuration so your trackpad would work under Kubuntu. If you see my post on "sound in iBook" I mentioned about inserting a headphone jack first to enable sound output in my iBook G3 Dual USB. Because Linux is not really Apple in nature, sometimes there are glitches when it comes to hardware compatibility.
