I am having a hard time trying to get my bluetooth keyboard and mouse from disconnecting when it goes into sleep mode. I had it working in Dapper by editing
/etc/defaults/bluez-utils
Well now that I upgraded to Edgy, I cant find /etc/defaults/bluez-utils . Has anyone had this same problem or does anyone know anything about this? I have a MS IntelliMouse & Keyboard Elite.

/etc/defaults/bluez-utils
I would think that /etc/default/bluetooth is what you're looking for - after all, it's first line reads "defaults for bluez-utils" ... and don't ask about the (re-)naming - it's Kubuntu, therefore it's supposed to be different, isn't it? :P

I did edit /etc/default/bluetooth the same way I edited /etc/defaults/bluez-utils in Dapper. But I had no luck. I don't know if this is a bug in Edgy or I am just not doing it right.
Here is a portion of my /etc/default/bluetooth file (XX:XX:XX:XX:XX:XX = My MAC's):
# Defaults for bluez-utils
# This file supersedes /etc/default/bluez-pan. If
# that exists on your system, you should use this
# file instead and remove the old one. Until you
# do so, the contents of this file will be ignored.
# start bluetooth on boot?
# compatibility note: If this variable is not found bluetooth will
# start
BLUETOOTH_ENABLED=1
############ HIDD
#
# To have Bluetooth mouse and keyboard support, get the
# Linux 2.6.6 patch or better from bluez.org, and set
# HIDD_ENABLED to 1.
HIDD_ENABLED=1
HIDD_OPTIONS=" --server --search --connect"
HIDD_OPTIONS="--connect XX:XX:XX:XX:XX:XX --server"
HIDD_OPTIONS="--connect XX:XX:XX:XX:XX:XX --server"
# to make hidd always use a particular interface, use something
# like this, substituting the bdaddr of the interface:
# HIDD_OPTIONS="-i AA:BB:CC:DD:EE:FF --server"
#
# remove '--master' if you're having trouble working with Ericsson
# T630 phones with hidd operational at the same time.
I did try it the way it says:
HIDD_OPTIONS="-i AA:BB:CC:DD:EE:FF --server" Still no luck. I'm so frustrated with this. I had it working perfectly in Dapper and now it doesn't work. If anyone knows any other ways to try let me know, PLEASE!!!!

Hi Norenester
Have you checked System Services?
To see if bluetooth has start and the status?
It might now be on!
Does not hurt to check.
Good Luck
