Installation Crashes on 32 Bit install

I kept having the install crash when I had install restricted drivers and software check marked. Once I made sure that was unchecked and was not connected to internet and downloaded all updates post install it seemed to go through.

Of course this should not happen but your workaround is a good tip.

You did successfully check the md5sum of both the download and CD?

I burned it using K3B with sum check on from my Kubuntu 12.04 64bit install from my laptop so I could install it on my Father's laptop which is pretty old.
