Screen Saver will not auto start ANY choice. Set priority to High. Any choice runs OK in Test mode.
Is there some other file I can edit other than Home/.kde/share/config/kscreensaverrc? (there is no .kde4 folder). Have searched 8 different forums with NO response at all. Hope you guys can help me.

That (and ~/.xscreensaver) are the only *screensaver* files I have. Perhaps post the contents you have.
What version of KDE are you running?

~ is a shortcut for your home directory so ~/.xscreensaver means /home/username/.xscreensaver
What's the output of
dolphin --version

You need to substitute your actual username ("bump"?) for username
I presume you have had this system installed for a while (2 year old version of Kubuntu). Did it work before? Any idea what might have changed around the time it stopped working?

Thanks for your reply.
I don't understand where I should substitute my "username" - please advise re file (s) location (s)
I only installed my system 3 days ago - the kubuntu desktop & related files - with Muon , & there were no updates available.

you may have Gnome settings getting in the way .......as a quick work around try logging in to the Gnome desktop and setting the screen saver their the same as well.
