I installed kgamma to try and adjust my monitor. It installs but doesn't exist. krunner can't find it. I think it may supposed to be a module that shows up in system settings but it is nowhere to be found. Looking in Muon at the installed files section it only lists 2 doc files. Could this be a packaging mistake so that the kubuntu package only contains the doc files and not the actual app?
I did find one post here that had the same problem in 2008 but there were no replies.

Actually, kgamma does install files, most importantly,
/usr/lib/kde4/kcm_kgamma.so
which is what does the work. You access it through
System Settings > Display and Monitor > Gamma

It doesn't here, see attached pic. I have tried purging and reinstalling but still nothing shows in System Settings.
Oneline, thanks for that. I should have checked for a bug report. I had a go at following the instructions there but with no experience of making packages I ran into a lot of problems but will have another go later when I have more time.

Official Kubuntu Updates PPA have the kgamma (4:4.7.3-0ubuntu0.1~ppa1) ~ 40 kB (bug fixed)
Changelog
