Hi,
After I upgraded to KDE 4.6 international characters in file names are displayed as garbage and I cannot rename or delete. How can I fix this?
Thanks.

You didn't tell anything about the configuration of your system, but you might look at this, and Reply #1:

Sorry about the insufficient info. It's a Kubuntu 10.10 system and I upgraded kde to 4.6 using ppa:kubuntu-ppa/backports as described here:
http://www.kubuntu.org/news/kde-sc-4.6

The drive I'm using is a locally mounted XFS drive and not a mounted samba share. It's mounted using the following line in fstab:
UUID=c3c977... /mnt/secure xfs nosuid,uhelper=hal,nodev 0 0

These characters prevent the files from being opened, renamed or deleted. I can only rename/delete them using midnight commander form the shell, but I would like to keep the original encoding if possible.

Any ideas?
