Hello!

I have a problem that has been going on from upgrade to Maverick from Lucid. I opened a thread in the beta forum:
http://kubuntuforums.net/forums/index.php?topic=3113898.0

This is still happening with all kernels newer than 2.6.32. If I use 2.6.32 kernel, there is no problem, but 2.6.35 kernel always goes into kernel panic. Today I took the time to take some pictures:
http://tinypic.com/r/91cd9v/7
http://tinypic.com/r/2qjx5wh/7

To recap:
kernel 2.6.32 13 hours of mprime (blend, 8 threads) - no problem

kernel 2.6.35 ~1 hour casual use (firefox, amarok) - kernel panic
kernel 2.6.35 ~1 hour idling console (ctrl + alt + F1) - kernel panic
kernel 2.6.35 ~1 hour login screen - kernel panic

Any ideas? All help would be appreciated.

I tried 2.6.36 and 2.6.37 rc2 from http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline/, but unfortunately it is the same as with 2.6.35 kernel - kernel panic. :(

The last kernel that works is 2.6.32. What was changed? Where should I report the problem? Post more info?

I don't use a beta kernel. I CAN only use 2.6.32-25 kernel. All other kernels result in kernel panic. I just tried 2.6.36 and 2.6.37 kernels to see if my issue is fixed in the newer kernels.

to solve this issue more info is needed
Hardware:
Mobo: Gigabyte EX58-UD5
Cpu: Core i7 920
Ram: 6Gb
Gfx: Nvidia 8800 GT

Sowtware:
Dual boot
Windows XP
Kubuntu 10.10 with kernel 2.6.32-25-generic

Any newer kernel (current default is 2.6.35-26) results in kernel panic.

Windows XP works without errors.
