Hi !

on my laptop, kpackagekit crash on statup after upgrade to kde sc 4.6 rc1.

please, make packages for last kpackagekit version.

found a fedora rpm version and converted it to .deb. I installed and it works perfectly. let me know if you want it and get it to you either email or send link for direct download from my site...

That, or until 4.6 is released 'final' and available for 10.10, use apt-get or aptitude (if installed) to do your package management. Even here, in 10.10 KDE 4.5.4, I don't use KPackageKit for actual work. I allow the Notifier to let me know when udpates are available, but I always do the updates/dist-upgrades via the console using apt-get.

with the holiday week, there has not been much action on the natty packaging front, so I suspect we will see updated kpk fairly soon once it's been updated there

ok, for convert rpm to deb or wait upgrade.

but, when the 4.6 final realesed, if the sotware packages manager crash on start up, it's not good for the image of environment. it's better to make this upgrade before final...

solved with last update in backport beta ppa.
