Wifi wont connect

I just installed Kubuntu, and when i try to connect to the wireless network, it asks for my WEP and i enter it, and yet it will not connect, all the settings are correct and i have checked and triple checked the wep to ensure its correct and it is, Kubuntu detects other connections so i know my wifi is working , but yet it will not conect to my home network, it constantly pops up a dialog box asking for the wep , but never connects.
it works fins in Ubuntu but not in kubuntu!
im lost here any suggestions??
