I copied this topic's (my) posts to Documentation -> Experimentation/Customization/Optimization
This topic turned out to not really pertain to lucid lynx.
Though I did succeed installing lucid lynx, I decided I prefered karmic. I now have backup tarballs of both. I also
did a reinstall to move from amd64 back to i386 because of Adobe flashplayer's not supporting streaming of
current hulu.com's offerings on ubuntu amd64. And I didn't want to spend anymore time messing around with it.
It works on i386.
