Host WinXP 32, Virtualbox 3.2.4, guest kubuntu-10.04-desktop-i386.iso

LiveCD works just fine, but i was trying to install it.
Default settings for ubuntu, 1gb ram, fixed size 10gb disc.

After installation guest hangs on loading screen - blue background, kubuntu letters.

Same procedure on ubuntu-10.04-desktop-i386.iso without problems.

Any ideas?

Marcel:

I have the same problem, however I was trying the Maverick release (10.10). It is an odd situation.

Sometimes it hangs during the loading screen (as yours does). And sometimes, randomly it seems, it makes it to loading the desktop and then hangs.

I don't have a solution for you unfortunately, but sometimes it's nice to know you're not alone in the world ;D

Cheers

With new virtualbox (3.2.6) my problem is solved. Desktop and netbook versions boot without problems.
